My dad, Robert Welch started a regional airline (The first in the State) in Michigan after the war with N50197 which was serial # 6044. I did a FAA title search and it says that N50197 was deregistered after an accident on 5-2--65.It was owned at the time by Rob't White, 24355 Sprague Rd., Columbia Station, OH who bought it from Raymond Topeka of Waynesville, OH on 1-10-59. Would your organization have any way of tracking this airplane? I know that one Howard Diller of Harrisville, MI purchased a project UC-78 from N. Ohio in 1973. Have always wondered if this was it....

Any help would be appreciated. I wouldn'y mind restoring the airplane if I could find enough of it.

I am a Cessna 195 owner and recently purchased a zero time exhaust system for the left engine of a T-50, hoping I could use it on my C195. It fits the Jacobs engine perfectly, but will not mate to the carb heat system. This is a disappointment, since it is absolutely new, and MUCH better made than the Cessna unit. It truly is zero time, and has the SOLAR data plate from Lindbergh Field, 1943. I had to have a system made up for my plane, which cost $2300, and would like to sell this system for the same price. Here (was) an opportunity for obtaining some spare parts, although the weather appears to have taken it's toll.

(The computer is taking it's toll of me trying to learn how to use the web publishing program, which is why I haven't been good about updates. Maybe I'll do better from now on! jja)
